Imer Traja and Amala and Flamenco Project with guests

“Imer Traja Brizani needs no special introduction to the Slovenian public, as he is a well-known composer who has been present on the Slovenian music scene with his high-profile projects for several decades. His latest “Flamenco Project” is proof that Brizani’s music is still alive, relevant and full-blooded. In this project, which has been presented at several concerts in the last year (Maribor, Ankaran, RTV SLO Ljubljana), he has combined his authorship with that of the younger and middle generation of outstanding musical virtuosos and improvisers who have already established themselves as soloists and/or authors (Bernardo Brizani, Izidor Erazem Grafenauer, Domen Lorenz, Barbara Kresnik, Uroš Rakovec, Anja Burnik and others). The result is music that impresses with its characteristic Brizani-esque musical sincerity, rooted in the Roma tradition, this time based mainly on flamenco improvisation enriched with elements of jazz and shaped and characterised by the artistic individualism of the participating musicians.
