The power and elegance of flamenco, the wild pulsation of the rhythm, the subtle beauty of the melody, all come from life and its constant changes, and returning to it inspires, comforts and fills you with vibrant energy. One of the sources of this is the possibility of connection that the interweaving of rhythm, melody, song and movement offers. Flamenco is an improvisational tradition in which not only the musicians and dancers, but everyone in the theatre space is involved, participating and shaping the action. It is into this magical circle that we now invite the fresh spring energies, curiosity and the shabbier winter moods of those who wish to “wake up” with us. The duo of flamenco dancer and singer Maria Keck and guitarist Teo Mandžuka is complemented by flamenco dancer Petra Böröcz. The project of Maria Keck and Teo Mandžuka, called Teo y la Mar, is based on flamenco compositions by the singer-songwriter, joined by the traditional dances of Petra Böröcz, to recharge your batteries with music and dance along the paths of Andalusian tradition, drawing on the Mediterranean light.
